Gold Star Mom: Keep Gitmo Open

Debbie Lee was a changed woman the day that her son, Marc, gave his life for our country. Because he could no longer fight for our country, Debbie has taken up his cause. She recently accompanied me, MAF Chairman Melanie Morgan, and MAF staff Danny Gonzalez and Ryan Gill to Guantanamo Bay. She saw what we saw: A high-tech, state-of-the art prison run by America’s best, our troops.
Now she is asking President Obama to reconsider his hasty decision to close gitmo and bring terrorists to the United States.
Here is her open letter to Obama:

An Open Letter To President Obama

It is with a heavy heart for my country that I write to you today. I pray that you will be inspired, challenged, and that you will reconsider decisions that you have made in the past week since you took the oath to preserve, protect and defend our constitution.

Many in my family have taken a similar oath in the military including my sons Kristofer & Marc, my son-in-law Chris, my brother Jim and my Father.

“I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

They along with every other Veteran have paid for my freedoms and the freedoms of every American. They have given and sacrificed so much. Some have paid the ultimate price as my son Marc Alan Lee did on Aug 2, 2006. He was the first Navy SEAL killed in Iraq. He made the choice to stand up into the direct line of fire three times that day fighting for the rights of those who couldn’t fight and bravely defending the defenseless. He told me we were making a difference in Iraq and he knew it was the right thing to do. He fought the terrorists over in Iraq so that we would not have to fight them on American soil or fear another attack on our homeland.

We have heard the success stories in Ramadi and the Al-Anbar province where Marc fought. He directly impacted the history of the world. My son successfully completed his mission that day but it required the sacrifice of his life to save other’s. He chose to do that, he was a young man who valued others lives more important than his own.

I remember the day I found out I was pregnant with him, just two weeks after a divorce from his abusive Father. I had a 3 year old son and an 18 month old daughter and didn’t get support from their Father. How would we ever survive? I could barely afford food for the two little ones I had, let alone another baby. There were those who told me that abortion was the solution. I already had an abortion at 17 and it would have been easy to do that again, but I had learned the hard way that abortion was taking the life of an unborn child and wasn’t a solution.

As a single parent for most of their life, I struggled - sometimes working 3 jobs to take care of them. It wasn’t easy and there wasn’t any light at the end of the tunnel, but by God’s grace and mercy I have three amazing children.

Can you imagine how different this world would have been without Marc? I still hear amazing stories of lives that have been inspired and touched by this amazing man who gave his life away so that others may live. It could even be your life that Marc spared as he fought the terrorists and brought them the justice they deserved. Marc and others just like him have fought and given you and me the gift of life by defending us against enemies foreign and domestic.

This past week a nation watched as you signed Executive Orders that have horrific consequences.

You didn’t waste any time signing an order to close Guantanamo Detention Camps. My son gave up his life fighting the terrorists so we wouldn’t have to face them in America ever again, and now your actions will bring these vile radical terrorist to American soil and give them the same rights as citizens of America have?

I know any major decisions that I make I get the facts first hand, I research the information, I weigh the outcome or consequences and I have a plan that I implement. You have not even been to GITMO. You have no plan what to do with the terrorists. I just retuned from a trip to Guantanamo. I saw first hand that we are taking the moral high ground. At times the terrorists have more than our brave troops do.

While visiting the detention camps, I looked into the eyes of a terrorist who glared at me while motioning he was going to cut my head off. Please DO NOT bring these self admitted murders to the land of the free and home of the brave. These cold hearted killers willingly confess that they are “still in Jihad.”

You also reversed the Mexico City Policy and in a time of economic disaster in the US are allowing our tax dollars to be sent to international organizations that provide abortions. We are losing our homes, our jobs, and our nation is in financial crisis and you’ve decided to use our finances to kill babies in other nations?? You’re concerned about the higher moral ground with the terrorists who murder for “Allah” and yet you won’t honor and obey Christ and defend the defenseless unborn baby?

My son took a stand and gave up his life defending the defenseless. He knew it was the right thing to do. He made a moral decision and displayed his courage and character and laid down his life for what he believed in. PLEASE Mr. President display courage and a noble character and do what is right! Don’t yearn for the praises of the liberals, the media, or European and Middle Eastern nations, yearn for the praises of the one who created us, our Lord Jesus Christ.

You have taken an oath to defend and protect me and this nation. PLEASE reconsider your decision on closing GITMO and honor our troops by acknowledging that dangerous, terrorists have been captured and try them according to military law in GITMO. Honor the sacrifice of my son and all of those who have given their very last breathe for you and for me.

Protect and value the life of every unborn child, they are a gift from God no matter what the circumstances were at the time they were conceived. They could grow up one day and change the history of the world. I’ve seen it happen before my very eyes through Marc’s life. I have felt God’s forgiveness for the life I took but I often wonder what God had intended for that precious life.

Please know that I pray for you and for this nation. My prayer comes from II Kings 18:

(6)“That you would hold fast to the LORD, that you would not depart from following Him, that you would keep His commandments; which the LORD commanded Moses.”

And Mr. President as a result of doing that;

(7a) “The LORD was with Him; he prospered wherever he went.”

Marc left his indelible mark on the world, and impacted history. Mr. President, what mark will you leave and how will you impact history. What are you willing to selflessly give so that other’s may live?

Standing in the gap,

Debbie Lee

Terrorist Ayers Can Run - But he Can’t Hide

Former San Francisco Police Sgt. James Bera was also at the protest. He was stationed at the Park Police station when it was attacked by the Weather Underground and produced a large fence staple, many of which were glued to the Weather Underground bomb, used for maximum anti-personnel effect, that killed officer McDonnell and seriously injured five of his fellow policemen.

Pipelinenews.org

Hundreds upon hundreds of patriotic folks showed up last night at St. Mary’s college in Moraga to stand against domestic terrorist bill Ayers (yes, President Obama’s political buddy).

We will have many more pictures and details later in this spot, so stay tuned. For now, let me share some photos from our allies at Pipelinenews.org.

Stunning testimony last night came from an FBI informant who infiltrated Ayers radical and murderous group, the Weather Underground, and a police officer who was first on scene at a bombing by the group that killed a police sergeant. You can see above that Mr. Bera saved a piece of shrapnel from the deadly bomb, which sent shrapnel over two city blocks.

The patriots who showed up last night had all kinds of creative signs that sent a strong message to St. Mary’s, a Catholic university that is supposed to stand for life.

Terrorist Bill Ayers Faces Fate Tonight

Bill Ayers ran. And he ran. And he hid in perfect view of the world. His friend, Barack Obama, won the White House. Things looked good for the man who cheerfully acknowledges his radical and violent past with the murderous 1960s Weather Underground.
But today he got a face-to-face wakeup call with 1,000 of Move America Forward’s friends and one blast from his past: Larry Grathwohl, a Vietnam veteran and an FBI agent who infiltrated Ayers’ group.
We all gathered at St. Mary’s College in Moraga where Ayers spoke to about 400 people in a packed auditorium. Grathwohl sat in his audience, prepared to confront the man who knew so well iin the laste ‘60s and early ‘70s. The former FBi agent sat with Ayers on many days and helped him build bombs that were meant to kill and main people.
Gratwohl testified under oath about Ayers’ terrorism, but the monster got off on technicalities. The FBI agent has waited for years for this night, the moment he could stand and tell the truth about Ayers and his anti-American, terrorist and murderous attacks.
Before Ayers was introduced, MAF chairman and a coalition of other pro-American groups, gathered with about 1,000 people who carried flags, signs and chanted in protest against Ayers.
“Cop Killer. Cop killer.” “Gitmo for ayers. Gitmo for ayers.”
The loud but peaceful crowd carried the American flag and signs shaming St. Mary’s college for inviting the domestic terrorist to speak at their school.
Only a handful of students in filthy clothes carried signs welcoming their hero, Ayers, to the school. It was a shocking site, especially at a Catholic university. Their parents pay too much for this type of ignorance.
Three students streaked by wearing a goofy hat and funky underwear. They screamed “free speech.”
What the young people don’t understand - and the university has failed to teach them - is the First amendment protects freedom of expression. It does not guarantee an audience.
As a journalist, I found it offensive that college students could be so ignorant about the Constitution. Read up, kids. If you find the section of the First Amendment that says a person who has built and set bombs, and whose group is responsible for the deaths of human beings, has the right to a university audience, give me a holler.
Meanwhile, some St. Mary’s alumni said Wednesday night that they would no longer contribute to their alma mater.
“Our children will not go here,” one said. “I am ashamed of them.”
The bottom line is that 1,000 people came out to express themselves. Their message: Bill Ayers and his lunatic wife should have no platform in any
university. They are terrorists and unrepetant.

in penetrating the Weather Underground, serving in that capacity from August 1969 until April 1970. Prior to his service in the FBI, he was a member of the Cincinnati Police force.

We Want YOU to Stand Against Domestic Terrorist at College TODAY

Today is the day. Man up. St. Mary’s College in Moraga, Calif., a Catholic University, has offered a platform to domestic terrorist Bill Ayers. We have joined a coalition to spread a pro-America message. We need every body, every soul, to stand with us this evening as we exercise our First Amendment expression of anti-terrorism.

Please go to PipelineNews.org for the details. You will find directions to the school iin Moraga, and other details about what we will be doing to express ourselves.

We choose to oppose all terrorists, whether they are Muslim or American or any other creed or color. Ayers is only free to express himself and make a princely living - while befriending Barack Obama - because of a technicality. He has not apologized and is proud of the bombs his group, the Weather Underground set.

He has no business spreading his socialist and unrepetant radicalism that killed people in the 1960s and ‘70s.

We will protest his appearance without the violence that he and his fellow travelers used dozens of times.

We have a special guest appearing: the only FBI agent who infilitrated Ayers’ group. Some to listen to the truth and stand for America.

See you there!

Iraq Voting Smooth as Thousands go to Polls

Iraqis of all religions and sects are going to the polls. It is another sign of the relative peace that U.S. Troops and our allies ahve brought to a country that hasn’t known free voting until America took down the murderous dictator Saddam Hussein. Freedom. Purple fingers. Makes me soooo proud to be an American.

here’s the story from the NY Times:

BAGHDAD — Thousands of soldiers, police officers, hospital patients and prisoners cast ballots on Wednesday as part of early voting in Iraq’s provincial elections.

About 615,000 people, most of them employed by Iraq’s security forces, were eligible to vote Wednesday, three days before Saturday’s election. Government officials said the early balloting would help ensure that security forces would be on duty to protect polling stations on Saturday, when about 14 million more Iraqis are eligible to vote.

“The arrangements we are seeing today are a slap in the face to those who are betting that Iraqis will not go to the ballot box because they are despairing,” Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki said in a speech on Wednesday.

More than 14,000 candidates are running for 440 seats on provincial councils in 14 of Iraq’s 18 provinces. The election will be delayed in Kirkuk Province, a troubled region where much of Iraq’s oil reserves lie, and in the three provinces of Kurdistan, a semiautonomous region.

The local councils function much like state legislatures, but are also responsible for selecting governors and provincial police chiefs.

Perhaps most important, the councils are a prime source of patronage. They dole out government jobs, social benefits and contracts, each an invaluable asset in a country that has high unemployment rates and significant poverty — but that is expected to embark on a major government-sponsored rebuilding program over the next few years.

In Iraq, unaccustomed to democratic exercises, the line between the official and the political is often blurred.

Some members of the Iraqi police found themselves in a quandary because the man to whom they owe their allegiance — Jawad al-Bolani, the minister of the interior — is running candidates against those aligned with the prime minister.

“It is so confusing,” said Haider Raheem, a 32-year-old policeman in Hilla, a city south of Baghdad.

In the Karrada district of Baghdad, soldiers and police streamed steadily into the Furat (or Euphrates) Middle School, a worn, dusty building where posters encouraged voting: “Register. Vote. Make the Change.”

By late afternoon, more than half of the 4,000 people eligible to vote early at the school had done so, said Adel Jabbar, a 38-year-old poll monitor. Above the doorways to each room that had been set aside for voting, signs were hung forbidding cell phones, cameras, smoking and weapons.

Mr. Jabbar reported no problems.

But in Samarra, Zaher Jasmin, a local manager for Iraq’s Independent High Electoral Commission, said fewer than half of the 4,000 police officers he had expected to cast ballots Wednesday had done so an hour before polls closed. After talking with their higher-ups, he said that the officers’ work had been deemed more important than voting.

“They have duties in very far away and dangerous places,” he said, “and they have not received permission to leave their posts to vote.”
