THANK YOU AMERICA!!!!! We’ve topped $1.1 Million for Our Troops!!!!!
It is the day after our webathon and I am still numb from the stunning, selfless generosity of America. Our historic - and risky - webathon brought together the best in high-tech Ustream.tv, stars like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Gold Star parents and thousands upon thousands of Americans who REALLY support our troops.
I want to apologize for failing to get a blog up as we went last night and yesterday. So many folks were participating on line that I couldn’ t long on and blog.
Two words from my soul: Thank you.
Thank you for showing your love and support for our troops. Thank you for listening to the words of so many of America’s top people. thank you for hanging in there when we hit a glitch or two. Thank you for having faith. thank you for loving the best country ever to exist: The United States of America.
Michelle Malkin was tireless. I thought nobody could keep up with Move America Forward chairman Melanie Morgan. Michelle showed me! These two are fueled by their complete respect for American troops and their unflinching belief that we must face the threat of radical Muslim Jihadists now or face infestation and more devastation.
It is embarassing. Our men andwomen are working in heat that would make Satan look for air conditioning. They have our backs. Even those who hate America but happen to have “American” on their passports.
Speaking of that, all of you lefties who “support our troops,” where are your checks? Nancy Pelosi? Jack Murtha? Hillary Clinton? Barack Obama? I’m waiting . . . . .
Go to Move America Forward and sign up now.
After I woke up this morning, I spoke with Debbie Lee, mother of Marc Lee, the first Navy SEAL to give his life in Iraq. She was the tall blonde who gave totals throughout the night on the webathon. (Look our Vanna White!)
Debbie told me that the response soothed her grieving heart.
“I have always known that America loves our troops, but this was . . .unbelievable,” Debbie said. “I am humbled by the service of all of my heroes, and now Americans have shown me that I was right about them. They support our heroes, too. They do.”

WSJ: How Prime Minister Maliki Pacified Iraq
Today in the Wall Street Journal is an amazing article written by Kim and Fred Kagan from The Institute for the Study of War. Titled “How PM Maliki Pacified Iraq,” the article reads as an extensive and detailed narrative of Iraqi and American operation in Iraq from the end of 2006 through the present.
Its really interesting to read about the Iraqi side of the operations, which we don’t always get a full picture of because typically news stories seem tailored to the American side of operations.
The most interesting part of the article to me was about Operation Knight’s Charge, the now-famous operation to combat the Madhi army in Sadr City that Maliki went forward with, without really notifying US forces, then needed our help, so we scrambled some air strikes and backup to bolster his forces.
Operation Knight’s Charge started on March 25, as Iraqi Security Forces moved into Mahdi Army (JAM) safe havens throughout the city. Initial operations were not promising – some 1,000 ISF personnel deserted or refused to fight, most of them from the newly formed 14th Iraqi Army Division. Nevertheless, the Iraqi Army seized control of the port.
Initial setbacks did not deter Mr. Maliki, who continued to send in reinforcements, including Iraqi Special Forces, Iraqi helicopters and the Quick Reaction Force of the 1st Iraqi Army Division from Anbar. Negotiations between Iraqi leaders and Iranian Brig. Gen. Ghassem Soleimani, commander of the Iranian Quds Force, produced a “cease-fire” on March 30.
But operations continued, and after two weeks the ISF, with American advisers and aviation but no American combat units, launched clearing operations throughout the city on April 12. By mid-May, the ISF controlled Basra’s neighborhoods, and drove JAM and Special Groups fighters out of their safe havens, pursuing them north and south of the city.
Mr. Maliki had authorized the recruitment of 2,500 local security volunteers and begun negotiating with their tribal leaders for their incorporation into the ISF. The establishment of Iraqi government control in Basra was symbolized by the recapture of state buildings and open areas that had been occupied by various Sadrist and other insurgent groups, and by the seizure of enormous weapons caches.
At the time it was seen as a blow to Maliki’s power, and the ISF’s level of combat readiness. But what most failed to understand was that this operation WAS an overall success as well as a notable milestone as being planned exclusively by Iraqi Security Forces.

Kooks, cranks and conspirators
As Move America Forward collects the names and addresses of men and women serving overseas, we have learned of despicable beings who use this information to hurt our troops.
Mark Dice plans to send a disinformation campaign of literature to our troops preaching the cook-fringe idea that the American government attacked America on Sept. 11, 2001. Yeah, and Osama bin laden is President George Washington’s spawn.
Dice will send CDs and other propaganda that would make Hitler’s propaganda chief Goebbels blush.
Instead of the Communist Manifesto, Dice has compiled the Resistance Manifesto and asks people to write letters replete with lies and disinformation.
“Join us in Operation Inform the Soldiers, and write to U.S. troops stationed in Iraq and let them know that 9/11 was an inside job.”
The idea, like that of our enemies of the past, is to discourage our troops from finishing the war they are winning in Iraq.
Dice was on FOX news spouting his hate (the guy needs a heavy dose of his meds). Capt. Pete Hegseth, a veteran and executive director of Vets for Freedom laid into Dice.
PETE HEGSETH: i do not even want to dignify this with their response. he knows a couple of marines. our troops are just a little bit busy over there. i do not think they want to open mail from some french political sect. they’re too busy winning this war in iraq. they’re not worried about—i have a feeling these letters are going to find a way into the latrine and elsewhere. the will not care what some group in southern California thinks about their service. they know what they’re doing. they believe in it. they’re succeeding. for him to say he’s talked to a couple of marines, that does not represent everybody. we believe in what we’re doing and believe in finishing this mission.
Go to this link and leave a note for Mr. Dice. Let him know what patriots think of his performance as Tokyo Rose:

Peace Thugs go after Another Military Recruiting Center
Move America Forward doesn’t like to report the attacks on military recruiting centers. Sadly, it has happened again.
Some hooligans sprayed graffiti on a Long Beach recruting center, leaving police and other public servants to clean up the mess.
“LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Dina Zapalski says that about 6:30 a.m. today (June 5), officers were dispatched to the area of 6th/Pine and found spray painting had occurred on the military recruiting station’s windows, building and adjacent sidewalk,” according to the LP Report.com
At least one “possible” threatening message was left, according to Sgt. Zapalski.
No matter the words left by the fools, the message is anti-American, anti-military and bad form. Shameful acts by cowards.
